Q: What is an InteleTravel Agent?

InteleTravel’s agents are travel enthusiasts who love to share their experiences or their interests and passions for travel, often inspiring others to take trips of their own. InteleTravel Agents earn commissions by booking travel for the people they know.

Q: When was InteleTravel founded?

InteleTravel was founded in 1992 by the current owners. InteleTravel’s original founders are still dedicated to the company’s growth.

Q: Is InteleTravel a scam?

Absolutely not, although travel is an industry where scams have been too common. For over two decades InteleTravel always has been an example of ethical business, with an extremely high customer satisfaction rate, and a proposition that has proved very attractive to potential agents. Beware “card mills.” InteleTravel does not give you an ID card of any kind. The tools available to InteleTravel Agents are a result of InteleTravel’s accreditation with travel industry organizations and its long partnerships with the world’s top travel providers.

InteleTravel enrollment is free of long-term contracts, enabling Agents to simply cancel enrollment at any time. The fees associated with becoming an InteleTravel Agent are minimal and easily recouped in your first travel sale.

Q: How do I log in to the website?

Go to www.inteletravel.com and click the Agent Login in the top right to login area.

Q: When will I receive my PIN/username?

You will receive an email confirmation of your enrollment within 24 hours that will include your PIN and a password for access to the Agents Only section of the website. We also send a text-only email as a double measure. IMPORTANT: Add customerservice@inteletravel.com and InteleTravel.com@mail.vresp.com to your email address book or spam filter to keep our emails to you from being caught in your junk folder.

Q: Can I change my PIN and password?

A PIN cannot be changed. However, you can change your password to something more memorable, by selecting the My Profile link from the Agents Only area of InteleTravel.com.

Q: Are there any costs at all for the personalized travel websites?

No. No design or setup fees, which normally could be hundreds or even thousands of dollars. No monthly hosting fees – other companies charge $20 to $100 per month. So with these new personalized websites, you not only earn thousands, but you save thousands too.

Q: What education resources are available through InteleTravel?

InteleTravel gives you access to many online courses, live events, respected industry organizations and other training resources (most of which are complimentary, or at a nominal fee paid to others). Remember, this is travel – and these are fun, experiential courses and events like seminars on cruise ships or theme dinner trade shows, not dry, boring classroom stuff. Q: How do I earn commissions?

Commissions on travel sales are paid to the independent travel agent for bookings of airline tickets, cruises, hotels, car rentals, vacation and tour packages, travel insurance and more, with almost all suppliers worldwide, to nearly every destination in the world. You can book most travel conveniently through our online reservation systems. But our program also allows you the flexibility to call suppliers directly, book on suppliers’ travel agent-only websites and utilize most other available methods subject to InteleTravel guidelines and instructions. Your customers can even go to your personalized InteleTravel website and do the booking themselves. And you still earn your full commission. Q: How much commission will I earn and when is it paid?

As a new agent, you will be paid 70% of the commissions paid to InteleTravel.com for your bookings, with no sales quota or qualifications required. You can increase your share to 80% by achieving certain goals. Supplier commissions range from 8 to 25% of the travel purchase (not including taxes and fees), with most in the 10 to 15% range. Q: What forms of payment do you accept?

Only credit cards are accepted for enrollment through the website. We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover cards. If you have a special need or prefer to send a check by mail (subject to hold for clearing), please contact customerservice@inteletravel.com. We’re glad to make arrangements for you.

Q: Do I have to take a test or take classes?

There is a simple video course you review, with basic quizzes after each YouTube-style short video, in total less than an hour of viewing. You are only required to view that course and read our training materials, which you can do in a few hours at home. However, InteleTravel.com highly encourages further travel education, and we give you access to many online courses, live events, respected industry organizations and other training resources (most of which are complimentary, or at a nominal fee paid to others). Remember, this is travel – and these are fun, experiential courses and events like seminars on cruise ships or theme dinner trade shows, not dry, boring classroom stuff. Q: Can I cancel my enrollment?

You are not obligated to remain in our agent program for any period of time. Unlike a health club or other memberships, you may leave whenever you like and stop paying any fees. Please contact customerservice@inteletravel.com for assistance. Learn more

Q: Can I enroll someone else under my agent account?

InteleTravel only allows one agent per enrollment account.

Q: What type of travel bookings can I make?

You as an InteleTravel Agent can make all the same travel reservations that any traditional full time travel agent can…Airline flights, Cruises, Vacation Packages, Hotel and Car Rental Reservations, Tours, Travel Insurance and more.

Q: How do I show that I’m an Independent Travel Agent with InteleTravel.com?

When you register you will receive a Welcome email with the travel industry codes and identifiers necessary to work with most suppliers. In addition, we recommend you order official InteleTravel Independent Travel Agent business cards, as a powerful marketing tool, and also because some travel industry partners may require you to have a professional business card to attend events or otherwise work with them. On occasion a partner may request a letter of verification from your host agency management at InteleTravel, which is available to all InteleTravel Agents in good standing.
